SPEAKER, AUTHOR, WRITER

welcome

We are wild things, you and I – raising wild one’s of our own. This means that we need to carefully tend to what God has given us… Living an authentic, integrated life is possible, but not automatic.  It must be cultivated.  We only have a few short years to live life together, worship together and learn together before these offshoots of ours blossom into adulthood.

When God infuses all of life, it brings meaning, continuity and JOY to all of our pursuits.  It is a delight to experience this growing process together, knowing that we are preparing them to seek God and His calling in everything they do as they move out to impact their own families and culture one day.

My goal is to celebrate, encourage and equip parents in the pursuit of  intentional parenting, inspired learning, and integrated living so that we can raise world changers who passionately love God, love others, and delight in the adventure of learning.

family

Want to meet my family?  Oh where do I start???  I met my husband, Rich in college and easily convinced him to stay in the Arizona desert.  We are opposites in many areas, but not when it comes to games.  We are both fiercely competitive and he enjoys beating me at any and every strategy game I’ll play with him. {A few of our obsessions include Settlers of Catan and Dominion.}  We love the new season we are finding ourselves in with family game nights since our kids branched out beyond Candy Land and Sorry.  Woot!

We have 3 boys – all delightfully different, but very full of energy.  Xander (16) is our friendly, verbal one. I was afraid that having boys meant I’d live in silence.  Xander proved that theory false.  Keegan (14) on the other hand is the strong, silent type. His strong-will has brought me to my knees more times than I can count.  Watching God work in his life has been a beautiful thing to behold.  Treyton (12) is the family clown.  He actually has a sense of humor {did not get that from me} and keeps us in stitches.  It is a busy, loud house – full of life and vigor.  God gave us a sweet little girl, Greta (8), to help tame things a bit.  She lights up our home and helps us all get in touch with our sweet, sentimental side! He wasn’t done blessing us and gave us a bonus surprise, Tierza who joined our family in 2020.

We are on a mission to cultivate a rich family life that will prepare and equip our children for whatever God has in store for each of them.  We can’t wait to share the adventures and encourage others along the way.

In a fit of mental abstraction, I started a new book AND a grilled cheese at the same time. Shakespeare analysis and cooking do not go hand in hand. 😖😜 #brightestheavenofinvention #peterleithart #shakespeare

The security at the airport said that was the most lemons they had ever seen someone bring thru on a carry on. So excited for homemade strawberry, blueberry, and vanilla lemonade, my husband's specialties!

After several days of gray cold, sunshine beckoned us outside. Actually, they've been working on clearing an area for this fort all week even in the cold. Today is finally warm and 🌞 enough for me to traverse the mesquite forest to join them... #NatureTherapy #everychildoutdoors #momtoo
Instagram post 2233099506281729942_1420023259 You can have a usually tidy home or regularly imaginative children, but seldom do the two simultaneously go hand in hand. She's playing house, raising her children, and informed me she's in the middle of moving... 😯 We can tidy up later... or not... as is evidenced by the hand made basketball hoop still hanging to the side which we ended up incorporating into our space for the time being. But there is peace when we recognize the purpose in their play. #powerofplay #wildandfreechildren #encouragingimagination
Instagram post 2232104592257556739_1420023259 The teen years are such an amazing season of coming into your own, thinking deeply about the world around you as you transition into adulthood. My teens have stepped up to new challenges this year with their education that have really stretched them (and me). Mondayy, my oldest participated in his first debate. This guy has delved deep into Scripture and borrowed books to understand both sides and prep for his debate. All four did a fabulous job thinking these issues through and participating with their assigned position and I love the conversations it has sparked between the four of them as well as in our own home! .

👉👉 Learning to research, learning to reason, and learning to listen to another's arguments are such invaluable skills that will stick with them for the rest of their lives! 👈👈 We are thankful for Worldviews of the Western World curriculum and the Worldview Classes in our area that have provided so much for our homeschool year.
